Meta descriptionThe betting rules for casino games at Megaways Casino: how Megaways slots, live casino, crash and table games work, bet limits, malfunctions, disputes and fair-play policies.

Scope of These Rules

Megaways Casino is a casino-only operator. We do not offer a sportsbook, and these betting rules cover wagering on casino products only: slots, live-dealer tables, crash-style games and RNG table games. Where a specific game has its own published rules within the game window, those rules apply in addition to — and, in the event of conflict on a game-specific point, take precedence over — the general rules below. All play is subject to our full Terms & Conditions.

General Rules

  • You must be 18 or over, verified, and logged into your own account to place any wager. Real-money play requires a sufficient balance.
  • A bet is accepted only once it is confirmed and the stake is deducted from your balance. An unconfirmed or interrupted bet is not a valid bet.
  • Results are determined by certified random number generators (RNGs) for digital games, and by the live outcome for live-dealer games. Outcomes are final once a round completes.
  • The currency, stake range and theoretical Return to Player (RTP) for each game are displayed in that game's information panel before you play.
  • We reserve the right to void bets affected by an obvious error, fault or manipulation, in line with the malfunction rule below.

How the Megaways™ Mechanic Works

The Megaways™ engine, licensed from Big Time Gaming, replaces fixed paylines with a variable-reel system. On each spin, every reel can show a different number of symbols, and wins are formed by matching symbols on consecutive reels from the left. At its maximum — typically six reels each showing up to seven symbols — a game can offer up to 117,649 ways to win on a single spin. Because the number of ways changes spin to spin, volatility is generally higher than on fixed-payline slots. Features such as cascading reels, increasing multipliers and free spins vary by title and are explained in each game's paytable.

Live Casino

Live-dealer games are streamed in real time from a studio. Bets must be placed within the announced betting window; once the dealer closes betting, no further wagers or changes are accepted. If a clear dealer error or procedural irregularity occurs, the affected round may be voided and stakes returned. Standard game rules — for blackjack, roulette, baccarat and similar — follow recognised international conventions and are shown in each table's help section. In the event of a streaming interruption, the game provider's continuity rules apply.

Crash and Instant Games

In crash-style games, you place a stake and choose when to cash out before the multiplier "crashes". If you have not cashed out before the round ends, the stake is lost. Each round's outcome is generated by a provably fair or certified RNG mechanism as described by the provider. You are responsible for cashing out in time; we cannot reinstate a stake because a cash-out was made too late.

RNG Table Games

Digital (non-live) table games use a certified RNG to determine outcomes, with the same odds structure as their physical counterparts. The paytable and rules for each variant are available in the game window. Automated or "autoplay" functions, where offered, place real bets on your behalf and are subject to the same rules and limits as manual play.

Bonus Buy Features

Some slots offer a "bonus buy" (feature buy) option that lets you pay a fixed multiple of your stake to trigger a bonus round immediately. Where available, bonus buys are governed by the individual game's rules. Please note that bonus-buy features are not available to players in the United Kingdom: the UK Gambling Commission prohibited the sale of bonus features to GB customers from October 2021. Players accessing the .com site from other jurisdictions may see bonus-buy options where the game supplier and our licence permit.

Bet Limits During Bonus Wagering

While you are playing through wagering requirements on a bonus, a maximum stake applies: the lower of £5 (or currency equivalent) or 10% of the value of your free-spin winnings per spin or bet. Exceeding this limit while a bonus is active may void the bonus and any winnings derived from it. This rule protects both you and the integrity of the promotion; full bonus terms are set out on the relevant promotion page and in our Terms & Conditions.

Malfunctions and Voided Bets

Malfunction voids all pays and plays. If a game, network or system fault affects a result — for example a game freezes, a round fails to complete, or an outcome is recorded incorrectly — we and the game provider may void the affected bet and refund the stake to your balance. We are not liable for losses arising from faults beyond reasonable control, but we will always return a stake that was taken for a round that did not properly complete.

Disconnection Policy

If you lose your connection mid-game, most games save your progress so you can resume the round when you log back in. For games that resolve automatically, the result stands whether or not you were connected, because the outcome is determined at the moment the round is initiated. Live-game continuity follows the provider's published disconnection rules. We recommend a stable connection before starting any round.

Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct

Collusion, the use of bots or automated software, exploiting a known game fault, and any attempt to manipulate outcomes are strictly prohibited. We monitor play for irregular patterns and may suspend accounts, void bets and withhold winnings where prohibited conduct is identified, in line with our Terms & Conditions and licence obligations.

Disputes

If you disagree with the outcome of a bet, contact our support team first with the date, time and game details so we can review the server logs, which are the definitive record. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may escalate it to the Malta Gaming Authority or to our independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, IBAS. Escalation routes and timeframes are set out on our Contacts page.
